Galloway Cycle Works is a bike, e-bike and suspension service & repair workshop in the heart of Dumfries & Galloway.
All work is carried out by a fully qualified Cytech Master Technician who is e-Bike certified and Fox trained.
We make servicing easy with our bike collection & return service with bookable time slots available up to 8pm.
Located in Gatehouse of Fleet, home of the Gralloch UCI gravel race and near to several 7Stanes Mountain bike trails.

We offer 3 mechanical bike services and a separate e-bike service:
Basic
For regular maintenance throughout the year.
Keeps your whole bike tuned up, safe and running smoothly.

Stop & Go
A bleed of the hydraulic brakes, clean up of the brake rotors, pads and callipers and a full drivetrain service inc. the freehub.

Premium
The bike is disassembled and all component parts are checked, cleaned, lubricated and reassembled. Brakes are bled and cables replaced.

e-Bike
Comprehensive check of the electrical system and motor - available as a stand alone service for or as an addition to a mechanical service.

Battery Capacity test (Bosch only) £10 extra
We service Bosch, Shimano, TQ, Mahle and Fuzua mid motor e-bikes.

not conversions or bikes that don't conform to UK safety standards.
• Routine Bike Repairs •
Many routine repairs can be carried out on the day and at short notice. Call us and we'll try our best to fit you in.

• New Chain fitting : £12 + price of the chain

Suspension Servicing
We service most of the leading brands and models of mountain bike suspension forks, shocks and dropper seat posts.
Our workshop is fitted out with a vacuum fill machine, nitrogen station, shock dyno and all the specialist tools required for our Cytech level 3 & Fox trained technician to service Fox, Rockshox, Cane Creek and Marzocchi.

Air can Service - from £35
We offer damper and air spring upgrades, travel length change, repairs and other set up changes you might require as well as
sales of Fox and Rockshox forks, shocks and accessories.
If you live within our collection zone we can come and collect the whole bike, so you don't have to worry about removing fork or shock off.
Or you can also drop it off or post it to us.
Bike Collection & Return Service
We know you want to ride in your free time and not spend your weekend or downtime getting your bike to a 9-5 bike shop.
At Galloway Cycle Works, we do things differently.
We can offer you a collection & return or drop off time slot up to 8pm on most days!
Visiting the workshop is by appointment only.

Your bill exceeds £75
We can provide a mobile mechanic service within Zone 1 for a charge of £12.
We can also offer collection from DG1, DG2 and DG8 postcodes which are outside
of Zone 2, please get in touch.

Custom Builds and New Bike Assembly
Custom Builds - Build a bike from your ideal component parts that's tailored to your specific needs, likes and preferences. Please note that we don't do e-bike conversions.
Wheel Builds - Pick your ideal hubs and rims and we can build it to suit your weight and riding style.
New Bike Assembly - If you have bought a new bike or e-bike online and it is delivered in a box, we can assemble it for you, M-check it and give you a PDI report.
